Art Across at Saul Hay Gallery

'Material | Matters & Art Across in conversation'

For this project, Art Across partnered with Saul Hay Gallery, an innovative commercial gallery and art space based in Manchester city centre. Starting from the themes of one of the gallery's exhibitions, titled Material | Matters, Sara has conceived and organised a conversation event, hosted at the gallery right before the end of the show, as a closing gathering. It has been poignantly defined as a 'curated talk'.

Six of the exhibiting artists shared some insights behind their practice, being in a dialogue with Sara, who responded to some of the suggestions emerged linking them to the history of artistic materials; the relation between artists and their chosen media as a central aspect of the creative process has been explored between present and past, in its evolution throughout the centuries.
